Practice Areas
Elder law
This area of law focuses on advanced planning or immediate qualification for those individuals concerned about the cost of long term care for themselves or a loved one. Appropriate planning can provide the best options for individuals that may qualify for Medicaid or other government assistance. This includes people born with special needs or those that develop issues later in life.
estate planning
We offer comprehensive estate plans that include Financial Power of Attorney, Health Care Power of Attorney, Directive to Physician, Wills, and Trusts. We gladly review existing estate plans and draft amendments if necessary. By engaging our firm, you will speak with an attorney who will recommend the most appropriate solution based upon your individual needs.
guardianship
It is necessary to establish an adult guardianship when an individual no longer has the mental capacity to manage their own affairs. While proper estate planning can avoid the necessity for a guardianship, not everyone is able to do so. This is especially true for children with special needs when they reach 18 and their parents that need to continue to make decisions for their children.
probate
Probate is the legal process to administer the estate of the deceased. Probate administration increases in complexity based upon the size of the estate. In Nevada, there are four levels of probate administration. We are able to identify the necessary steps for your estate and quickly move through the process to allow distribution of the estate in a timely manner.
